Teams must be fully registered online by Jan 1st.
Returning teams from the previous season will be granted higher priority over new teams wishing to play Thunder baseball.
Limited amount of space is available due to field limitations so teams should contact the Thunder Baseball representative ASAP to get more information and to be added to the program.
Independent pass thru baseball teams are allowed and accepted to play AYL league (see AYL baseball roster rules). Please contact our Volunteer Baseball Director to find out team fees and registration deadlines.
Majors Season Overview: (Ages 9 - 13)
A 14 Game season starting in Early March for all ages, games will be played Tuesday through Thursday. The game range format maximizes game schedules and is utilized by the board’s discretion on maximizing games played.
Interleague games shall be played.
Teams participating are not allowed any bye requests for regular season or playoff games.
Any team that is unavailable for the playoffs or World Series due to outside tournament conflicts or travel will be removed from the end of season AYL playoffs.
The division is limited to no more than eight (8) teams in each age, however, in certain circumstances board discretion on the number of teams will be used for schedule optimization.
Teams that register to play in the AYL; they will need to indicate the level of play desired. Please note, that does not mean you will play at that level. At the discretion of the AYL Baseball Board, all teams will be reviewed and seeded to determine the appropriate participation level for each team.
At the conclusion of the regular season play, all teams will participate in a single elimination playoff. The playoffs will begin in late May and and conclude in early June. Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 teams participating in the World Series game. There are no trophies for regular season finish.
AAA Season Overview: (Ages 9 - 13)

Please note that if weather impacts the season, addition games may be added at the discretion of the board.
